His expertise in stress management, motivation, leadership development, and teambuilding has led to national and international media attention. He was featured on the year-long Discovery Health Channel documentary, Class of ’75, in which he mentored five highly stressed individuals, providing specific stress management strategies whose goal was to create positive and sustained lifestyle changes. Other appearances have included The Today Show (NBC), NY One News, Fox News, and news programs on Fuji and Sankei Television in Japan.
He is the author of How to Relax in 60 Seconds or Less (Healthy Learning, 2011). This book focuses on providing readers with support in developing a greater level of sustained relaxation, health, and well-being. Dr. Friedman is also the author of two additional books on wellness. In addition, Healthy Learning, Inc., a California-based wellness company, has produced fifteen of Dr. Friedman’s workshops and seminars on DVD.

Dr. Friedman was the developer and Director of the Stress Management Corporate Training certification program for Queens College of City University, the first program of its kind in the United States. He designed two cutting-edge computer software programs and iPhone applications, Relaxation On-Demand and Confidence On-Demand for individuals seeking support in areas of stress relief and improving feelings of empowerment.
